Independent Banker magazine, the monthly publication of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA), has announced its sixth annual list of 40 Under 40: Community Bank Leaders. This award recognizes community bank innovators, contributors, and influencers who are noted for their dedication to advancing local communities through excellence in community banking.
"ICBA is thrilled to celebrate this year's honorees, who exemplify the ideals of community banking and represent the future of our industry," said ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey. "These individuals are not only dedicated to their customers and communities, but they also bring innovative ideas and a passion for service that will drive the industry forward. We are proud to recognize their achievements and look forward to their continued impact and success."
The June issue of Independent Banker features a story on how these 40 Under 40 honorees have navigated challenging market conditions by leveraging their local expertise and sound business practices. These efforts have enhanced customer experiences and fostered economic resilience within their communities.
Candidates were evaluated based on character, leadership, community involvement, and innovation. The winners are categorized into six groups: hi-tech heroes, enthusiastic collaborators, thoughtful educators, community supporters, innovative strategists, and trusted advisors. This year’s program was sponsored by bank technology services provider FIS of Jacksonville, Fla.
The Independent Community Bankers of America aims to create an environment where community banks can thrive through effective advocacy, education, and innovation. America's community banks use relationship-based business models and innovative offerings to channel deposits into local neighborhoods, thereby creating jobs and fostering economic prosperity.
