Chase enhances rewards for no-fee Marriot Bonvoy Bold credit card

Chase, the largest co-brand card issuer in the U.S., and Marriott Bonvoy®, Marriott International’s travel program and marketplace, have announced new benefits on the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card. Cardmembers can now earn more Marriott Bonvoy points toward free stays and Marriott Bonvoy Moments experiences across various everyday spend categories. Additionally, they have access to a new Travel Now, Pay Later benefit. These enhancements aim to help cardmembers achieve their travel goals by unlocking more experiences within Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 brands and 10,000 global destinations. The card continues to have no annual fee despite these new features.

The Travel Now, Pay Later benefit allows cardmembers to divide qualifying travel purchases into equal monthly payments without interest or plan fees for amounts between $100 and $5,000 made directly with an airline or at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels. Points are earned on these purchases as usual.

Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardmembers now earn 2X points per dollar spent at grocery stores, rideshare services, select food delivery services, select streaming services, and internet, cable, and phone services. Cardmembers also receive Automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status annually, which includes perks such as Priority Late Checkout (when available) and 10% more points on stays toward free stays and Marriott Bonvoy experiences. Additionally, cardmembers will receive five Elite Night Credits each calendar year to help them attain higher Elite status in the Marriott Bonvoy program.

“We relaunched the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card from Chase with the goal of helping new and existing cardmembers make their travel dreams with Marriott Bonvoy a near-term reality,” said Khary Barnes, Managing Director and General Manager of Marriott Bonvoy Co-Brand Cards at Chase. “The addition of the new benefits and features will help the card reach new audiences.”

David Flueck, Global Head of Loyalty, Cards and Partnerships at Marriott International added: “The enhanced Bold card means everyday purchases will turn into free stays throughout the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of brands even quicker."

To celebrate these enhancements, new cardmembers can earn 60,000 bonus points and one Free Night Award (valued up to 50,000 points) after spending $2,000 on purchases within three months from account opening.
