Andrew Charnley | Managing Director of Assetz Capital | Assetz Capital

Interview with Lloyd Whiting: insights from an Assetz Capital case manager

Lloyd Whiting, a Case Manager at Assetz Capital, has been with the company since January 2019. His career in business lending began when he joined the Lender Team, handling funds coming into the business for subsequent lending. Less than a year later, he transitioned to the Relationship Support Team (RST), now known as The Operations Team, as a Relationship Support Assistant. After receiving substantial support from his team, Whiting was promoted to Relationship Support Manager and eventually became a Case Manager.

In his current role, Whiting collaborates with borrowers, relationship directors, credit managers, and various third parties to move cases from Decision In Principle (DIP) to completion. He appreciates the variability of his daily tasks and prioritizes completing deals efficiently.

Whiting finds the constant challenges of business lending rewarding due to the continuous opportunities for learning and growth it provides. "It keeps you consistently outside your comfort zone," he noted. He also values the diverse career paths available within the industry.

At Assetz Capital, Whiting enjoys working with experienced colleagues who are willing to share their knowledge. He also appreciates the opportunity to engage in activities beyond his regular duties, which he believes is beneficial for personal development.

Outside of work, Whiting enjoys attending live music events and is currently trying to improve his golf skills.
