Barclays US Consumer Bank has selected Team One as its new agency of record for strategic and creative marketing. This decision follows a thorough review process aimed at supporting the bank's strategy and growth in the U.S. consumer market.
The partnership will see Barclays' marketing leadership working with Team One on key initiatives across its credit card portfolio and other assets, including online savings accounts and Premier League sponsorships in the U.S.
"We are excited to partner with Team One to help us accelerate growth for Barclays in the United States and elevate the experience customers have with us across all interactions and touchpoints," said Lili Tomovich, Chief Marketing and Experience Officer at Barclays US Consumer Bank. She noted that Team One impressed them with their strategic capabilities, use of analytics, consumer insights, and commitment to customer experiences.
Julie Michael, CEO of Team One, expressed enthusiasm about working with Barclays: "Barclays is the bank we’ve always wanted to work with in the United States. And once we met the ambitious marketing team there, we knew we could play a role in their future success." She added that they are eager to provide a platform solution involving communications mapping, CRM, digital, and sponsorship marketing.
Team One will begin its collaboration immediately, with initial work expected to launch in early 2023. The agency review was managed by Joanne Davis Consulting based in New York.
