JetBlue has announced a multi-year extension of its co-branded credit card agreements with Barclays and Mastercard. This renewal aims to expand the consumer and small business credit card portfolios, focusing on digital-centric offerings that align with evolving consumer needs.
Don Uselmann, vice president of loyalty at JetBlue, stated, "We have had a highly successful collaboration with both Barclays and Mastercard. Building on our current best-in-class products, we are already acting on a plan that will disrupt the industry and bring even more value to our cardmembers." He added that they plan to introduce enhanced products with reimagined benefits offering personalization and choice.
Barclays has been the exclusive issuer since 2016 for JetBlue's co-branded credit card program in the United States. Bob Highland from Barclays US Consumer Bank commented, "During the past five years, we have built a sizeable credit card portfolio with JetBlue. We are thrilled to have the privilege to continue our strong and collaborative partnership."
John Levitsky from Mastercard highlighted their role by saying, "Mastercard’s suite of benefit offerings and Priceless platforms ensure that consumers can enjoy an enhanced travel experience from booking through departure."
JetBlue cardmembers will continue receiving benefits from both Barclays and Mastercard under this new long-term agreement. The companies also aim to provide creative credit options for customers who may be unbanked or underserved.
