Bank of America's More Rewards Day returns November 7

Bank of America has announced the return of its More Rewards Day, scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2024. This annual event, now in its third year, provides Consumer and Small Business credit cardholders an opportunity to earn additional rewards on their purchases as the holiday season approaches. Last year, participants earned over $26 million in extra rewards during this event.

Mary Hines Droesch, Head of Product for Consumer, Business, and Wealth Management Banking and Lending at Bank of America, stated: “As our clients prepare for the holidays, we celebrate them with More Rewards Day. Whether they are shopping for gifts, booking travel or purchasing everyday essentials, this promotion allows our cardholders to maximize their rewards and get more value on their spending to kick off the season.”

On More Rewards Day, eligible Bank of America credit cardholders with rewards cards will automatically receive bonus rewards on top of their standard ones: 2% cash back, 2 points per dollar spent, or 2 miles per dollar spent. Cardholders without a rewards-based credit card will earn a 2% cash back as a statement credit applied to their account. Bonus rewards are capped at $50 cash back or equivalent points/miles/statement credit on the first $2,500 in purchases made on November 7.

According to new data from Bank of America, Americans plan to spend nearly $2,100 this holiday season—a 7% increase compared to last year. Furthermore, 40% of consumers can cover all or part of their holiday shopping by redeeming points or rewards. With increased consumer spending anticipated this year, More Rewards Day presents an opportunity for cardholders to enhance their reward earnings and manage costs ahead of the busy holiday period.

All Bank of America consumer and small business credit cards that are open with active charging privileges on More Rewards Day qualify for these benefits. The type of reward earned depends on the card used for purchases.

Preferred Rewards members will continue earning their Preferred Rewards bonus on purchase amounts but not on incremental rewards from the More Rewards Day promotion.
