Capital One returns to Miami Art Week with Hassan Hajjaj's immersive installation

Capital One and The Cultivist are returning to Miami Art Week with an installation titled DAR MIAMI 1446, created by the internationally recognized artist Hassan Hajjaj. This installation aims to immerse visitors in a Moroccan-inspired world, offering both Capital One cardholders and the public a unique cultural experience.

“DAR MIAMI 1446 spans geographies and artistic mediums, bringing people together to experience Moroccan and regional culture through a unique artistic lens,” Hajjaj stated. "I’m happy to partner with Capital One and The Cultivist on this project. From the beginning, they’ve embraced the vision of DAR MIAMI 1446 by supporting its core ideas. The collaboration enables my love for food, art and music, and brings people together in unexpected ways."

Capital One cardholders will have access to exclusive dining experiences within the installation, curated by restaurateur Rose Previte. Previte is known for her acclaimed restaurants in Washington D.C., including Compass Rose and MICHELIN-starred Maydan.

“Hassan and I saw this as a chance to blend our traditions, and also bring something new and exciting for everyone in Miami,” said Previte. “The menu is inspired by my heritage, using ingredients that are more than just food, but also part of daily life. Our Miami Art Week collaboration lets people not only see the art but also taste and experience the culture behind it."

The installation promises an immersive blend of food, music, art, and design from various cultures. A key feature includes live performances of traditional Moroccan music by Simo Lagnawi during dinner services.

Capital One has organized three days of programming for cardholders at Miami Art Week from December 4-6. These events include an afternoon tea service featuring Hassan's tea brand Jajjah with pastries curated by Previte, a cardholder-exclusive dinner inside DAR MIAMI 1446, and an after-party featuring entertainment by DJ Pee .Wee (Anderson .Paak).

This initiative builds on Capital One's partnership with The Cultivist since 2022 to provide exclusive access to art-related events for cardholders. Last year’s event featured an '80s nostalgia art installation by Alex Israel with dining experiences curated by chefs José Andrés and Dominique Crenn.

“We’re excited to return to Miami Art Week after last year’s success," said Monica Weaver, Head of Branded Card Partnerships and Experiences at Capital One. "This year we're creating another enticing installation that blends the visionary art of Hajjaj with the culinary art of Previte in a unique way.”

Tickets for these events are available for purchase starting October 22 through Capital One Entertainment.
