Navy Federal Credit Union has awarded its annual ROTC All-American Scholarships to 15 ROTC seniors. This program, which began in 2018, aims to honor outstanding ROTC seniors from all branches of military service across the nation. The selection is based on the core pillars of Leadership, Military Excellence, Scholarship, and Service.
Olivia Miller, a judge for the scholarship program, emphasized the importance of supporting students committed to military service. She stated, “At the credit union, our goal is to always be ready and available to serve those who are serving, and as a Veteran, I can attest to it.” Miller expressed satisfaction in assisting these students as they embark on their military careers.
Each year, Navy Federal reaches out to 542 collegiate ROTC units nationwide for nominations. In 2024, they received 219 qualifying nominees from 216 schools. From these nominees, 15 finalists were selected—five per branch of military service—to receive $2,500 scholarships each. Additionally, their Booster Club or Student Fund will receive a $1,500 donation.
From these finalists, Navy Federal will choose the top Air Force, Army and Navy/Marine students as Students of the Year for the ROTC All-American Scholarship Program. These students will receive $6,500 scholarships and their respective Booster Clubs or Student Funds will get a $5,000 donation.
The Students of the Year will be recognized at the Military Bowl in December and featured on ESPN’s broadcast of the event. Furthermore, both finalists and Students of the Year will be highlighted on Navy Federal’s social media platforms over several months.
