Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) Vice Chairman Alice Frazier is set to testify before the House Small Business Committee. The hearing, titled “Hope on the Horizon: Prioritizing Small Business Growth in the 119th Congress,” marks the committee's first session under Chairman Roger Williams (R-Texas).
Alice Frazier, who also serves as president and CEO of Bank of Charles Town, will discuss significant points from ICBA's legislative agenda. These include seeking relief from extensive data collection and reporting requirements imposed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s 1071 rule. Additionally, she will advocate for preserving the integrity of the Small Business Administration's 7(a) and 504 loan programs and facilitating new sources of community bank capital to support small business lending.
The testimony is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Room 2360 in the Rayburn House Office Building.
The ICBA aims to foster an environment where community banks can thrive through advocacy, education, and innovation. They focus on leveraging relationship-based business models to support local economies by creating jobs and promoting economic prosperity.
