Bank of America (BofA) has initiated a new program, "Golf with Us," aimed at increasing youth participation in golf. The program targets individuals aged 6-18 and offers a complimentary one-year membership to Youth on Course, funded by BofA. This membership grants access to numerous golf courses across 97 markets at a cost of $5 or less per round. Participants can enroll until May 24, 2025.
David Tyrie, President of Marketing, Digital & Specialized Consumer Client Solutions at Bank of America, stated, "When kids get involved in sports, they learn first-hand about achieving their goals and develop lifelong skills that help them thrive." Tyrie emphasized the positive community impact of making golf more accessible.
In addition to regular play, the program will conduct free clinics in select markets during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. These clinics will feature professional golfers, athletes, and celebrities sharing their passion for the sport. The membership also includes a registered handicap index through the United States Golf Association’s Golf Handicap Information Network (GHIN).
Adam Heieck, CEO of Youth on Course, noted, "Golf has the power to shape young lives in incredible ways—not just through the sport itself, but through the friendships, confidence, and opportunities it creates." He highlighted the broader impact of the initiative on young people's futures, beyond just golf.
BofA and Youth on Course have established a multi-year partnership to enhance nationwide golf access for young players. This agreement includes the expansion of municipal courses participating in the program, with over 2,000 courses currently in the Youth on Course network.
To promote "Golf with Us," BofA will launch commercials during the Masters Tournament. The bank has been a Champion Partner of the Masters Tournament and involved with the Augusta National Women’s Amateur since 2019. In 2025, BofA also became the presenting partner of the More Than Golf Invitational, in collaboration with the ANNIKA Foundation, founded by Annika Sorenstam.
Beyond golf, BofA partners with notable sports brands that align with its values of excellence and achievement. The bank aims to foster deeper client relationships, economic impact, and growth through its sports partnerships.
