United States Senator Elizabeth Warren, the Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, has issued a statement regarding the Federal Reserve's upcoming decision. In her remarks, Senator Warren criticized President Trump's economic policies.
"In just 100 days, President Trump has managed to hamstring the Fed’s primary monetary tool to deal with a turbulent economy," said Warren. She warned that if President Trump does not change his approach, the Federal Reserve might have to maintain higher interest rates for longer or act quickly in response to an economic downturn.
Warren further stated: "The President can blame his predecessor or Fed Chair Powell all he wants, but the inescapable fact is that prices are rising and our economy is headed toward recession because of Donald Trump."
The statement reflects ongoing concerns about economic stability and policy direction under the current administration.
