AMBA has voiced opposition to the proposed elimination of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) program in the President's FY 2026 budget. The association submitted a letter to Congressional appropriators expressing its concerns.
The VBOC network is known for providing crucial resources to transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses aiming to start or expand small businesses. These centers train over 55,000 individuals each year and are vital partners with many AMBA member banks in enhancing economic opportunities within the military community.
AMBA has called on Congress to fully fund the VBOC program, emphasizing its importance as an essential support system for veteran entrepreneurship.
