ClarityPay has joined the American Fintech Council (AFC), an industry association representing fintech companies and innovative banks. ClarityPay provides merchants with point-of-sale credit solutions that offer flexible payment options for customers and aim to encourage repeat purchases and loyalty.
The company enables merchants to provide installment payment options at checkout, allowing customers more flexibility in their payments. Merchants are able to set terms, manage risk, and maintain control over the customer experience. As a new member of the AFC, ClarityPay states its commitment to supporting both merchants and consumers through responsible financing.
Phil Goldfeder, CEO of the American Fintech Council, said, “ClarityPay is helping merchants meet customers where they are while ensuring financing remains fair, secure, and customer-focused. Through their configurable pay over time plans, ClarityPay enables businesses to expand financing options, deliver a seamless customer experience, and easily complement merchant loyalty programs. We’re excited to partner with them in shaping a more inclusive and responsible financial ecosystem.”
ClarityPay’s platform offers configurable pay over time plans that help merchants convert shoppers into customers while maintaining full control over data and brand. The company says it can approve customers across all credit levels by matching approvals with total order values. Merchants can choose from payment plans ranging from four-week installments to 84-month revolving terms and can create dedicated credit lines linked to their brands.
The solution integrates with API connections as well as major commerce or lending platforms for both in-store and online transactions. Merchants retain control of customer data without competitive cross-sell activity.
Houman Motaharian, CEO of ClarityPay, said, “At ClarityPay, we focus on strengthening the connection between merchants and their customers through responsible, flexible financing. Our credit solutions help merchants expand reach, boost sales, and maintain ownership of the entire customer experience. By joining the American Fintech Council, we’re reinforcing our commitment to financing solutions that drive both growth for merchants and better outcomes for consumers.”
The AFC describes itself as a standards-based trade association focused on promoting transparency and inclusivity in financial services by supporting responsible innovation and sound public policy. Its members include large fintech firms and banks offering embedded finance solutions aimed at serving underserved consumer segments.
ClarityPay serves sectors such as health, wellness, home improvement, travel, auto, and retail by providing configurable pay-over-time options designed for omnichannel commerce.
