The American Fintech Council (AFC) has expressed its gratitude to Chairman Patrick McHenry for his service as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. Phil Goldfeder, Chief Executive Officer of AFC, issued a statement highlighting Chairman McHenry's contributions.
"The American Fintech Council thanks Chairman Patrick McHenry for his exceptional leadership as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee," Goldfeder stated. He noted that McHenry's "innovative mindset and commitment to fostering a modern, inclusive financial system have set a high standard for policymaking in this space."
Goldfeder mentioned that a letter was sent expressing appreciation for McHenry's service. "Throughout his time in Congress, Chairman McHenry has sought to ensure that the U.S. financial services industry remains the envy of the world through the continued development of a prudent legislative agenda that encourages innovation," he said.
The statement also emphasized McHenry’s bipartisan approach to innovation, which has been significant in promoting responsible growth within financial technology sectors represented by AFC members. "His leadership has worked to ensure that both the House Financial Services Committee, as well as innovative banks and fintech companies across the industry, are best positioned to deliver the future of finance to consumers," Goldfeder added.
As Chairman McHenry retires from his role, Goldfeder acknowledged his contributions and expressed optimism about continuing to build on his legacy within both the fintech sector and broader financial services industry.
