AFSA has extended its congratulations to Representative French Hill (R-AR) following his election as the Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. The American Financial Services Association (AFSA) has collaborated with Representative Hill on various matters important to American consumers and the consumer credit industry. These include addressing concerns related to what they describe as "the CFPB’s regulatory overreach," particularly in relation to auto loan data collection earlier this year.
The association expressed its anticipation of working closely with Chair Hill and the entire committee during the 119th Congress, emphasizing their commitment to protecting American consumers' access to credit.
"AFSA congratulates Rep. French Hill(R-AR), on his election to the Chairmanship of the House Financial Services Committee," stated a representative from AFSA. "We look forward to continuing to work with incoming Chair Hill, and the entire committee to protect American consumers’ access to credit during the 119th Congress."
