AFSA has raised concerns about the upcoming electronic lien and title (ELT) program in Oklahoma, which is set to be implemented on July 1, 2025. In a comment letter submitted by AFSA's State Government Affairs team to Service Oklahoma, both AFSA and the National Title Solutions Forum (NTSF) have expressed worries regarding the readiness of the program.
The letter highlights several issues with the ELT program, including a lack of clarity, technical preparedness, and insufficient engagement with stakeholders. It stresses the importance of Service Oklahoma working directly with industry participants and suggests considering a delay in implementation to allow for further development and testing.
AFSA is advocating for a collaborative approach from Service Oklahoma to ensure that the ELT system is fully operational and integrated with all necessary providers before it becomes mandatory.
This letter, along with other SGA letters, can be accessed on the direct advocacy section of AFSA’s website.
