The American Financial Services Association (AFSA) will host a webinar on September 4, 2025, focusing on the impact of technology on captive finance operations. The session aims to address how digital transformation is affecting the auto finance sector amid increasing competition from digital-first companies, evolving customer expectations, and the industry’s shift toward electric and hybrid vehicles.
The webinar will cover five main trends influencing captive finance organizations. These include the use of artificial intelligence and automation in underwriting, funding, collections, and risk analysis; adoption of an API-first approach for improved integration with dealers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and third-party partners; the need for urgent modernization to keep pace with industry changes; innovations in risk management and compliance using AI and real-time data; and enhancements in customer experience through digital tools tailored to various demographics.
Speakers for the event are Ian Smith, Member of the Board of Directors; Richard Howard, Advisory Board Member; Eva Kellershoff, VP Sales for North America and Europe; and Faizaan Ghauri, Chief Strategy Officer.
According to the AFSA announcement: "Don’t get left behind. Register now and learn how to future-proof your captive operations—and become a captive of your own success."
The session is designed to provide attendees with practical insights into achieving faster funding processes, reducing operational costs, improving compliance measures, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
