The American Fintech Council (AFC) has announced the first group of speakers for its 9th Annual Fintech Policy Summit, scheduled for November 18, 2025, at The Westin Washington, D.C. City Center. The event will feature a range of leaders from government and industry who are involved in shaping policy and innovation in financial services.
“For 9 years we have delivered an industry shaping policy summit that has a proven track record of collaboration and success where the future of financial services takes shape and pragmatic solutions are identified,” said Phil Goldfeder, CEO of the American Fintech Council. “We bring stakeholders together for thoughtful and collective dialogue on policies to drive responsible innovation, expand access, and strengthen consumer protections.”
Among those confirmed to speak are Travis Hill, Acting Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC); Congressman Bryan Steil (R-WI), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence; Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL), Member of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions; Congresswoman Young Kim (R-CA), Member of the House Financial Services Committee; David Kimball, CEO of Prosper; Dave Girouard, CEO of Upstart; Nathaniel Harley, CEO of MANTL; Zuben Mathews, CEO of Brigit; and Jason Wilk, CEO of DAVE.
“Bringing together leaders from across fintech, government, and regulation, the Policy Summit creates a space for dialogue on the most exciting challenges and opportunities in financial services,” said Martha O’Malley, Chair of AFC’s Board of Directors and Assistant General Counsel at Prosper. "This first wave of diverse speakers highlights the visions that are driving responsible innovation, informing regulatory frameworks, and addressing consumer needs across the financial services industry.”
According to AFC officials, nearly 250 companies have already registered to attend. The summit will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and fireside chats focusing on topics such as regulatory modernization, artificial intelligence in finance, open banking practices, and digital assets. Attendees will be able to interact with speakers directly to discuss current trends affecting financial services.
