Capital One and The Cultivist will collaborate with artist Alex Prager during Art Week in Miami this December to present the Mirage Factory, an immersive art installation. The project is described as a "living work of art" and will include performances exclusive to Capital One cardholders, as well as a curated dinner event. For a limited period, the Mirage Factory will also be accessible to the public.
Alex Prager said, “The Mirage Factory allows visitors to escape into the dreamlike world of Los Angeles, to experience a heightened, fabricated vision that celebrates the artifice of the city and the dreams that built it. It evokes the spirit of Golden Age Hollywood, a cinematic fantasy of nostalgia, glamour, and illusion. It was a true collaboration working with Capital One and The Cultivist, who supported my vision and helped bring it to life for Art Week in Miami.”
The installation aims to immerse guests in an environment inspired by Hollywood's Golden Age. Chef Dave Beran will partner with Prager at the Mirage Factory for two events exclusive to Capital One cardholders: a dinner on December 2 and Martinis at The Mirage on December 4. Both experiences will feature live music acts yet to be announced. Beran is recognized for his work at Michelin-starred restaurants Pasjoli and Dialogue.
Chef Dave Beran stated, “I am excited to collaborate at Alex Prager’s Mirage Factory, to create culinary storytelling that epitomizes surrealism and Golden Age glamour. Together, with Capital One, we will bring cardholders into a dreamlike dinner party with authentic mid-century California influences."
Capital One and The Cultivist are also transforming The Shelborne By Proper hotel into an extension of the Mirage Factory experience for Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders. Through its Premier Collection program, guests receive benefits such as daily breakfast for two people, a $100 experience credit per stay, room upgrades when available, early check-in, late checkout options, daily gatherings on the Venture X Sun Deck known as “Golden Hour,” nightly sound sessions, and wellness activities.
Monica Weaver, Head of Branded Card Partnerships and Experiences at Capital One said: “Our partnership with The Cultivist and debut of Alex Prager’s Mirage Factory redefines what immersive premium access means at Art Week in Miami. We’re excited to create a high-touch experience for our cardholders and collaborate with The Shelborne By Proper, part of the Premier Collection from Capital One Travel, for additional programming during their stay.”
This initiative follows last year’s partnership between Capital One and The Cultivist featuring Moroccan artist Hassan Hajjaj at Art Week 2024.
Capital One Entertainment offers cardholders opportunities across sports, music, dining, entertainment and theater through its platform. Eligible branded rewards cardholders can purchase or redeem rewards for these experiences; certain cards earn enhanced rewards rates on these purchases.
