Navy Federal Credit Union is marking Veterans Day by offering exclusive benefits to its members and supporting community initiatives focused on veterans and their families.
“Honoring our nation’s Veterans and their families is a cornerstone of the credit union’s mission,” said Mehdi Dinia, vice president of membership and deposit operations at Navy Federal. “We’re proud to provide tailored offerings that reflect our deep appreciation and meet the unique needs of the Veteran community.”
The credit union estimates that its members can earn and save an average of $461 annually through better interest rates, lower fees, and discounts. Current offers include a $200 bonus for opening a Special EasyStartSM Share Certificate between November 1-30, a $250 cash back reward for new cashRewards cardholders who spend $2,500 within 90 days, and a 1.99% introductory APR on balance transfers for 12 months. Other promotions feature a special 10-month certificate with rates more than twice the national average, a $200 bonus for refinancing auto loans from other lenders, and a 0.25% interest rate discount on student loans when enrolled in autopay.
Navy Federal is also making a donation to Travis Manion Foundation’s Veterans in Service program. The foundation recently expanded its reach by acquiring The Mission Continues in 2025, increasing opportunities for veterans to engage in community service projects.
“By supporting Travis Manion Foundation’s service projects this November, Navy Federal is empowering Veterans to strengthen local communities, build connections and find renewed purpose through service,” said Ryan Manion, CEO of Travis Manion Foundation. “When Veterans step up as leaders in their communities, they inspire others to lead with character. We're grateful for Navy Federal's generosity and look forward to serving alongside their members through our Veterans in Service projects.”
The credit union encourages its members to participate in these community service projects. Additionally, it will host employee volunteer events at its campuses in Virginia, California, and Florida with Soldiers’ Angels to create no-sew blankets for distribution within military communities.
“These nonprofit partnerships reflect the values Veterans represent—courage, character and selfless service—and strengthen our commitment through impactful give-back initiatives,” added Dinia.
Navy Federal serves over two million veterans among its global membership base of 15 million people. The organization operates more than 370 branches worldwide and manages the Department of Defense Community Bank program across 11 countries.
